Sometimes, a person must leave a good thing to do the right thing. That is the path of Michael Cohen, owner, and founder of Pop Media Pro.
Formerly the vice president of production and development for a multimillion-dollar production company, he produced high-end videos for corporate clients such as American Express, Morgan Stanley, Prudential Securities, MetLife, and for non-profit agencies including The Girl Scouts, The National MS Society and Heartshare. He is also the producer or co-producer of feature films and documentaries and produced the PBS television special “Kosher Sex” with Rabbi Shmuley Boteach based on his book of the same name which sold over a million copies.
Though he enjoyed the work, Cohen eventually left that six-figure position over the choices of feature film projects that were being produced.
Now, Cohen’s passion is to promote positive charities, non-profits, NGOs, and advance businesses of all kinds.
“It’s not all about the money for me, I have a higher calling and will work with clients with modest budgets if needed while still maintaining a high level of excellence.”
This producer’s vision is equipped with experience, education, and industry contacts. Cohen has built more than 20 years of experience in the industry — developing feature films and documentaries and spearheading projects from the concept stage to the small and large screen. “I enjoy taking people’s vision and bringing it to fruition and helping them get their message across,” Cohen said. “Whether they’re running a business or a non-profit, I like to help people be successful. If they’re successful, I feel successful. It gives me satisfaction to help people who really need it.”
“Michael Cohen was worked for us as producer and editor for many years. He is talented and hard-working. It was a pleasure having him on board and we were always able to count on him to provide an excellent product”
